The festival of lights, Diwali. Recently at the Ural state medical university students celebrated Diwali with great joy and happiness the student’s council community helped them in all preparations and arrangements. As everyone were celebrating, the cultural diversity among them can be seen clearly. Students from various country came to study but with study and education other country students participated in this celebration and made the warmth of the festival even warmer.
The event began with the lighting of a ceremonial lamp symbolizing wisdom, hope, and the victory of light over darkness. The venue is decorated with traditional Indian decorations such as rangolis, diyas, and decorative lamps, creating a warm and cheerful atmosphere that reflects Indian tradition and giving the overall look of a simple and elegant décor.
Indian students showcased their tradition through a variety of dance performances—including classical, folk, and Bollywood styles. The most attracted part of this performance was the traditional Indian dresses, girls use to were the colorful lehenga, with all the accessories, as well as boys wore the traditional kurtas, which made them look stunning, other students also attracted to colorful Indian tradition. With these enlightening performances presented in front of other international students got to know and experience about the India’s rich and creative traditions. Musical performances and interactive activities added to the enthusiasm, encouraging everyone to participate and enjoy the moment together.
The main magnetism of the evening goes to the banquet of authentic Indian dishes and snacks prepared by Indian students. The meal allowed faculty and other international students to experience traditional Indian flavors and experience the warmth of Indian hospitality. Sharing food created an environment of casual conversation and helped form new friendships across cultures.
The celebration settled with a small fireworks display outside the campus, which adds a cheerful ending to the event(celebration). This Diwali celebration at Ural State Medical University showed the power of cultural exchange between different people of different countries, which brings all the students together, this event helps students to build understanding among each other and creating a life-long memories that goes beyond the borders.
